Rotary Heartline Project

"Let no child die of heart disease"

This is the mission with which the Rotary Gift of Life project started in our Club way back in 1999 as a matching grant project of The Rotary Foundation, under the leadership of Rtn. PDG Kawal Bedi, the then President of the Club, who motivated Rotarians to contribute the seed money as Club's contribution to enable it for TRF's matching grant.

The Club partnered with leading medical institute of Chandigarh, PGIMER for this project which started at total project cost of Rs.42 lakh.

Since then 739 surgeries have been conducted, which included several children from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Africa, and very recently from Iraq.

As of March 2020, 739 children have received the gift of life from Rotary Club of Chandigarh.
